The monocular visual field is that region of visual space that can be seen by only one eye, it starts where the binocular field ends (about 50 degrees lateral from fixation) and extends to nearly 90 degrees peripheral; however, in general things in the monocular field are not noticed unless they move or change. Thus the monocular visual field of the left eye is the far left periphery, and vice versa.
