This nucleus and its tract provide the upper limb complement to Clarke’s nucleus and the posterior spinocerebellar tract. This somatosensory relay nucleus is located in the medulla just lateral to the cuneate nucleus. It receives somatosensory input from cervical spinal nerves. The resultant cuneocerebellar tract does not cross, and instead directly joins the inferior cerebellar peduncle alongside the uncrossed posterior spinocerebellar tract.
